Own home the dream for almost all middle class Indian. Being a middleclass, I also have the same dream. To have my own home..a sweet home.. ....
I remember a sweet question asked during ragging period in my college days:-
'ghar aur makaan mein kya antar hai ?'
and one of my batchmate ( i think pramod from Bokaro, in mech engg).. answered it like ...
'jhaad-foos se bane hue jagah to 'ghar' kahte hain aur sement-brick se bane hue ko makaan kahte hain'......... we had a long laugh on this....
I am in bangalore for last 6 and 1/2 years..
now.. the first ever house huntine I started was the 'shirdi homes' layout which was giving a house build in 30X40 area in around 10 lakh..it was around 2002 or 2003.. at that time I had thought the place is bit out of bangalore.. that place is around 6 KM from Meenakshi Temple on BGT road..
Then and Now.. it seems that the no place is out of banaglore and no price is too high for house in bangalore......
Anyway, I found it difficult for me to buy a house here.. and decided to buy home in some other city like HYD or Pune , where price is still in the range of middle class ppl.
I think, I can still live in Bangalore and buy the house in other city. That is the best option in my situation, I think....

Abhay brother “Search for a House” would have been an appropriate heading.
Home is usually a place where one stays and to which one is emotionally attached. "Home", as the saying goes, "is where the Heart is". There is a lot of sentimental value attached to a home. A millionaire may have several houses, but he usually has one home. Not every house can become a home. A house is merely a physical structure with walls and a roof and a door.
I personally feel whatever you intend to do; it’s all in mind. If something you feel is unachievable its because you feel like that, the moment you start inculcating the feeling that its doable, the same thing becomes much easier to accomplish. I hope I’m not digressing from the topic.
If you intend to owe your own house you can get it anywhere on this earth but you need to have proper thought process in place. It’s the most common dream that most of us aspire for. And it’s quite natural. Bhai after Roti, Kapda that’s the third most basic necessity of life.
I’m completely against your views that you are founding it difficult to buy a house for you at B’lore. I would rather say you have not tried to explore many avenues. As far as rates in other IT cities are concerned it’s also on the same rising trend. May be you could get it at some lesser price but there won’t be any drastic difference as such.
Wherever you intend to buy one, do it now before it’s too late.
Over the time. I bought my apartment in Bangalore. We stayed the new apartment for around 4-5 month before I left for Canada a long term assignment.
Its really a big task to get a home of your need n in your budget...
but though u've found it, now make it real home with your real love and affection with your family members.....b'coz home is home whn ppl live happy together otherwise makan...:)
